Luncavita Onshore Wind Project – 84–98 MW
Project summary
Onshore wind project in development located in Caraș-Severin, Romania, with an expected capacity of between 84 and 98 MW and an estimated configuration of 14 wind turbines.
Project description
Onshore wind project located in Luncavița, Caraș-Severin County, Romania. The project involves an approximate configuration of 14 modern wind turbines, with an estimated unit capacity of between 6 and 7 MW and a planned total capacity of between 84 and 98 MW.
The site has a wind measurement campaign carried out between March 2012 and February 2014, with an average wind speed of approximately 6.55 m/s. The estimated net output is around 230 GWh per year, subject to the final turbine selection and the updating of technical studies.
The promoting team has access to the necessary land and is working on the administrative and technical development of the project with the aim of bringing it to the Ready to Build phase. Different operating structures are being studied, including the sale of the project, the entry of an investing partner or IPP, and potential agreements linked to the supply of wind turbines.
